When the smile is the frown and the frown is the smile

Rise, fall, Rise,
The day, the Hour, for what eternal prize?
Up, down, Up, down, a smile flees to a frown.
A rollercoaster, a rocket to Rise from the rugged ground.
Alas fall, fall, fall and frown, frown, frown as you smash into the Flying floor.

Follow, follow, follow the floor always finds.

But there is a   where the hour's day can meet the unweavable way
Fly, Fly, Fly the rocket takes to the sky.
The floor follows with every tick of the tock,
Each moment getting closer through the lock.
Faster, Faster, Faster, the rocket brakes the barrier of Sound.
Rise, Rise, Rise until space is reached, until gravity is lost, until the floor falls.

Perhaps Freedom, perhaps not. When all equals nothing and when nothing equals All, are we not all frowned, are we not all downed?
Yet even then when the stars loom brightly and when the sun shines rightly,
Can it be the Smile is brought to even nothing?
Can it be that what is found is round?
Even without sound?

I am 16 years old and I am British. I have a great passion for philosophy and I spend much of my spare time reading and writing upon the subject. I am very thankful to have achieved a grade 9 which is the equivalent of an A double star in my GCSE English language and literature examinations which I took this summer. more…
