NIGHTFALL



This feeling sets in like nightfall; my conscience drifts in and out like a rolling tide. Sometimes, the smile I wear on my face disappears, but I must stand tall, for it is not the end of it all.

time is falling off the clock, yet I ask myself, isn't time an illusion made up to cause confusion? Where am I here or in a distant place? We travel many worlds with open and closed eyes, wishing at nightfall to find that hidden gem, that one surprise.

The sound of the wind and rain makes me feel as if I'm going insane
as I ask questions to the riddles that hold more answers behind closed doors. What is it about nightfall that as my skin crawl can it be that it sees the true me behind the mask I wear so carefully during the day? What are the moon and the stars trying to say
