I tried

I tried to write a song, but found I couldn't sing
I tried to symphony, but couldn't pluck a string
I tried to write a letter so "wise beyond my years" but found I wasn't satisfied with empty heartless cheers
Until I gave it all away, to walk the narrow straight, finnaly was I satisfied,
With the day by day

About this poem

I used to wonder if I would ever have any real talent. I had a few things I could do, but they weren't really that great. But in the grand scheme of thing, all that really matters in the end is what I do for God.

This reminded me of some of the psalms where the poets write about life's difficulties, and especially Psalm 73 where David envies the proud and wealthy wicked. Then at the end they look to God and realise that life with God, both now and eternally, is the only thing that matters, and there is immense strength and comfort in that. When living a Christ-centred life, your gifts will emerge because the Spirit will bring forth fruit. When you want talents to get praise and recognition from men, you can achieve nothing for Him.

We all can find something we can do well; the problem is that sometimes we put the effort on the wrong things. Find or try to find your bliss is the thing here. Everyone has one.
