Evaporation of the Body

A soul is seen before the body when looked at with the right pair of eyes.
It is quite juvenile to believe that the house of flesh and bone that encases the soul is insusceptible to decay. With every rise and fall of my chest, every time my vision blurs, I am reminded of my ever-dwindling youth. It’s a fallacy to be discontent with the inevitable. To escape the feeling of my decomposing body, I turn to my soul. Everything I’ve ever needed to know about myself is found within my soul. In the process of unwrapping my soul, I let the liquidity of my worries fall right through my fingers. They may create a temporary puddle as my physical insecurities trickle to my feet. I write these words with little distress, as long as the heat of my burning soul will evaporate these abstractions of my growing mind. I could find constant satisfaction that my soul would never wrinkle or fade into dust.
