Elegy for an Easy Way to Heaven

In the quiet dusk,
where whispers of yearning linger,
we seek paths lined with gold—
a shortcut through clouds, soft as a sigh.

Oh, fleeting promises dressed in light,
you beckon from afar like childhood dreams;
but the road is worn by haste and longing—
each step heavy with unspoken fears.

We wander amid thinning shadows,
drawn toward that comforting glow;
is it faith or folly leading us on?
Each heart cradles an unanswered prayer.

The chill of night wraps tightly around hope—
fast routes dissolve into wisps of smoke.
Where are the markers we thought we knew?
Is heaven merely another destination lost?

Time drifts like autumn leaves on water,
and now we must confront our choices:
did we carve our stories in search of ease,
or did depth slip through our fingers too quickly?

For love demands a slower pace—
the journey aches but shapes our hearts;
there’s beauty found in every stumble,
when rising requires courage fraught with truth.

A cosmic dance rather than quick ascent:
here among stars scattered across dark plains—
grief intertwines with tender grace —
in this elegy for all roads taken at speed.

Remember those who sought solace unearned,
flying high without saddling storms—
it’s not always about the shining gates,
but how softly one walks upon this earth.

May angels guide us gently homeward still—
to learn life fully before claiming the sky.
For each misstep teaches more than gold
in these fragile moments wrapped in flesh and bone.
