Web of Taekwondo

In twilight’s hush, beneath a waning moon,
The dojo echoes with a silent boon.
Once vibrant laughter danced through the air,
Now shadows linger where spirits laid bare.

Striking limbs in arcs of grace and might,
Each kick a whisper that fades into night.
Black belts entwined like threads of fate spun tight,
Yet here they unravel in sorrow’s soft light.

The web we wove from dedication's thread,
Binds hearts and souls in every blow we shed.
Training hours etched upon weary skin—
With each gentle bruise, our battle begin.

But time is an adversary stern and cold;
Where youthful vigor turns to legends told.
Beliefs once soaring now cradle despair;
Old scores settled but burdens laid bare.

The forms and patterns echo memories lost;
A tapestry tattered by life’s cruel cost.
We mourn for the ones who no longer fight—
Their spirit ignites in the stillness of night.

Oh artful sport! Our refuge divine—
In your embrace I felt worlds intertwine.
Each punch a tribute to those who’ve passed through,
Our kinship eternal; our promise rings true.

So gather ‘round as we honor their names:
Though bodies may fade, their passion inflames.
For every belt tied with reverence endows —
An echoing legacy resides in us now.

Rest well dear friends on this mat made of dreams:
You taught us strength lies beyond what it seems —
Forever connected through deeds fierce yet brave -
Within our own limits lie bonds that won’t waiver.
