Afraid Of Losing Image

Like an elderly woman.
Clutching onto her purse.
Over rehearse to react to fear.
Feeling trapped in an elevator.
Whenever an impeccably dressed,
To perceive...
One of ethnic diversity appears.

The elevator stops,
At the floor she picks.
Followed by the one dressed.
And behind her close and near.
She screams, 'Help me!
I'm being attacked!
By someone racially mixed with Black!'
To only discover where she's going,
Inside of a bank to ask for a loan.
Is the same one she accused,
Of threatening her when alone.
Then become shocked to find out,
What she wanted to request to get...
Happened to have been,
The one impeccably dressed.
Coming out from an office.
With a sign labeled,
President of the bank.
Clearly on the door boldly addressed.
Then to faint from losing her breath.
After she was told,
Who would it was that may or may not...
Agree to approve her request for a loan.
Had been her own son-in-law,
She never saw before or met!

'Mother? Snap out of it.
It's me.
Your daughter's husband.'

'Oh, my God.
Here.
Take my purse.
But please, please...
Don't tell my daughter I smoke weed.
I told her,
I was going to the doctor.
To refill my medication.
And sometimes I have visions of the past.
She said nothing to me about you being,
A...uh...how can I put this?'

'A banker?'

'No!
So goodlooking, articulate.
And need I say,
Impressively well dressed too!'

'Say it.
It may persuade me to approve your loan.'

'LOL...STOP IT.
Help me get up off the floor.
And whatever you do,
Try not to wrap your muscular arms...
Around me.
I have yet to arrive at that stage of life.
Certainly not publicly!'

'No problem.
I understand.
However...
If I may suggest,
Have your 'Doctor' prescribed...
Less medication.
And...
I won't say a thing to my wife about us!'

'Why not?
She's more afraid of losing image,
Than I am.
Me?
I had to lose my breath and faint.
To come to my senses kept to myself!
Thank you.
You can remove your hands now.
Has she ever told you,
How beautiful your eyes are?'

'About that loan?
How much are you requesting?'

'Make me an offer I can't refuse!'

'That apple doesn't fall that far,
From the tree.
Does it?'
