In the In-between Stages

I want to be in the between stages with you, from being engaged and waiting on our wedding Day. Us taking trips to Walmart filling our carts up, me putting unnecessary things in the baskets and you asking Jennifer do we really need that stuff. In the in-between stages like us picking our first song or picking out knicknacks for our first home. In the in-between stages like you telling me I am in the bathroom too long, or me showing you how to put a little milk on your arm to make sure the baby's bottle is warm. In the between stages like parent-teacher conferences and affirming our daughter to make sure she is confident. In the in-between stage from her first day of school, til she's about to graduate soon. In the in-betwween stage should we go ahead and retire or give it one more year to make sure our 401k is higher? In the in-between stage like Wednesday night bible study, Saturday night bingo, and telling the grandchildren who spent the night to get up y'all know Sundays are for church. The in-between stages to the doctors telling me that you are at the end of stage 4 and you are knocking at heaven's door, and soon our LORD is going to answer saying you have now completed every stage, and the curtains are about to close, but I will give you a robe and reward for how gracefully you played your role.
