Self Sabotage

Some believe that fear and rejection hold us back and remaining at a distance can keep us safe

I believe it keeps us from believing in ourselves and others

It takes from us true happiness and fulfillment, which comes from within

I believe it is our mind which can drive us crazy and our heart that sets us free

I believe we need to give our hearts wings in which to soar

For our heart's desires are not meant to be ignored

Go after your hopes and dreams

Make them your reality

For all is not lost

It just remains to be seen

I was born and raised in Nauwigewalk, New Brunswick, Canada. I am the youngest of five. My creativity came from my mother, who was very talented. My determination to succeed in following my dreams came from my father, who was an entrepreneur. This poem was written along time ago. It came to me out of the blue one day and so I wrote it down. As a young girl I often wrote poetry and short stories which I have kept over the years. This one in particular was very special. I hope you enjoy it as much as I. more…
