SPECK IN THE FLOW OF TIME

A speck in the flow of time
A moment and we are Gone
Just a whisper of a poet's rhyme
Like a dream forgotten at dawn

Wonder at the shortness of life
As this world sets itself afire
So much anger and strife
Bitter is the fruit of sin’s desire

And we burn in our moment
A flash of time across the night
We think everything is an omen
Still nothing seems right

Be still, says the Lord
Be still knowing I am God
Take joy in the moments stored
Instead of living a facade

We're a speck in time
We worship time's King
And in this poet's rhyme
I will Give Him everything

In the moments we are given
We can be still, or washed away
In His Hand we are living
Be still and stay
