Lost for Words

Past week was golden, filled with light,
Until today, the shadows took flight.

I'm sorry my choices, my sudden sway,
Have led your heart to feel this way.

When I see the hurt that clouds your face,
It leaves me aching, out of place.

The words you speak cut through my soul,
A wound too deep, yet still not whole.

You say it won't change, it's here to stay,
But I believe love can find a way.

Faith, like a whisper, calls us near,
Yet doubt and silence breed this fear.

Are we giving up? Is this the end?
Or can we find the strength to mend?

I love you dearly, that much is true,
But is love enough for me and you?

You say you were happy, alone, apart,
But what of the bond that binds our hearts.

Does joy without me bring you peace,
While I am left in pieces, incomplete?

I'm scared to speak, to make it worse,
To turn this blessing into a curse.

But here I stand, heart open, bare,
Hoping love can lead us there.

Where shadows fade, and faith takes flight,
And we find each other in the night.

For even lost, I hold on tight
I love you still, with all my might.
