I Don't Need You ( Part 8 )
I don't need you, my heart's too strong,
To be held down by your toxic song.
Your words, like venom, they tried to poison,
But I am now immune, my spirit risen.
I don't need you, to tell me what to do,
For I know myself, I see through you.
You tried to control, to mold me into your image,
But my soul is free, unbound by your scrimmage.
I don't need you, to make me feel complete,
For I am whole, on my own feet.
You thought I was dependent, on your every move,
But I've learned to stand tall, and not to prove.
I don't need you, to be my guiding light,
For I have my own compass, shining bright.
You tried to dim it, with your doubts and fears,
But I've learned to trust, and wipe away the tears.
I don't need you, to hold my hand,
For I have my own strength, to withstand.
You thought I was fragile, and in need of care,
But I've learned to be resilient, and not to despair.
I don't need you, to be my reason to breathe,
For my purpose lies within, and I believe.
You tried to suffocate, with your judgment and lies,
But I've learned to rise above, and spread my wings to fly.
I don't need you, to fill the void in my heart,
For it has healed, and I've found a new start.
You thought I was broken, and needed your love,
But I've learned to love myself, and rise above.
I don't need you, to be my knight in shining armor,
For I am my own hero, with my own armor.
You thought I needed saving, from the demons within,
But I've learned to conquer them, and let my light in.
I don't need you, to define who I am,
For I am my own masterpiece, with my own plan.
You tried to paint me, with your own colors,
But I've created my own, with my own fervor.
I don't need you, to be my other half,
For I am whole, and I don't need a staff.
You thought I was incomplete, without your love,
But I've learned to love myself, and rise above.
I don't need you, to be my one and only,
For I am content, with being my own pony.
You thought I needed someone, to make me whole,
But I've learned to find happiness, within my own soul.
I don't need you, to be my everything,
For I am enough, and I have my own wings.
You thought I needed someone, to make me fly,
But I've learned to spread my wings, and reach for the sky.
I don't need you, to be my sun and moon,
For I have my own light, and it will never swoon.
You thought I needed someone, to light up my world,
But I've learned to embrace my own light, and let it unfurl.
So, I don't need you, to be a part of me,
For I am whole, and I am finally free.
You thought I was incomplete, without your love,
But I've learned to love myself, and rise above.
I don't need you, and that's the truth,
For I am my own person, and I have my own youth.
You thought I needed you, to be complete,
But I know now, I am enough, and I am replete.
