"Safely Inside Myself" ( Part 1 )
"Safely Inside Myself"
Within these walls of flesh and bone
A world exists that is my own
A sanctuary, a sacred space
Where I can escape from life's fast pace
Here, I am the ruler, the queen
In control of all that is seen
No judgement, no fear, no need to hide
For here, my soul can freely reside
I close my eyes and take a breath
As I journey into the depths
Of my mind and all its wonders
A realm that's boundless, a world that's thundered
Amidst the chaos and the calm
I find myself, like a healing balm
Away from the noise, away from the crowd
In this solitude, my spirit is unbound
I am a canvas, waiting to be painted
With colors of my choosing, untainted
I am a book, waiting to be written
With words of my own, unbidden
I am a garden, blooming with grace
With petals of love, in every space
I am a symphony, playing in tune
With melodies of my own, in full bloom
Here, I can dance, I can sing
Spread my wings and take to the sky in a fling
For in this world, there are no limits
Only endless possibilities, waiting to exhibit
I am the captain of my ship
Guided by my own compass, my own grip
Navigating through the storms of life
With courage and strength, in the midst of strife
Here, there is no pain, no sorrow
No worries about tomorrow
For in this haven, I am in control
Of my destiny, of my very soul
I am a warrior, a fierce fighter
A survivor, a true igniter
For within these walls, I am strong
And nothing can ever go wrong
My mind is a castle, fortified
With walls of wisdom, I do abide
My heart is a shield, protecting me
From the harshness of reality
In this world, I am never alone
For here, I am my own clone
A perfect reflection of my being
With all my flaws, and uniqueness, gleaming
I am a mystery, unraveling in my mind
Layers upon layers, waiting to find
The depths of my being, the core of my soul
In this journey, I am in control
So when the world gets too loud
And my spirit starts to feel too proud
I retreat to the safety of myself
Where I can heal, and reconnect
For in this world, I am the creator
Of all that is good, and all that's greater
I am a goddess, a divine being
Safely inside myself, forever gleaming.
