"Noon Hour"
"Noon Hour"
The sun hangs high in the sky,
Casting a warm, golden hue.
The world slows down, as if to sigh,
As noon hour passes through.
The streets are bustling with life,
As people rush to and fro.
But amidst the chaos and strife,
There's a sense of calm, you know.
The air is filled with scents divine,
Of food and flowers in bloom.
Laughter and chatter intertwine,
In this bustling, midday room.
The lunch hour brings a break,
From the daily grind and grind.
A chance to rest and rejuvenate,
And leave the worries behind.
The clock strikes twelve, and all is still,
As workers take their lunch break.
The city's heart beats with a tranquil thrill,
A momentary pause, for goodness' sake.
In the park, the birds sing sweetly,
As they flit from tree to tree.
The gentle breeze whispers discreetly,
Creating a symphony of harmony.
The sunbathers lie on the grass,
Basking in the warm sun's kiss.
Children play and laugh,
In a world of pure bliss.
The food trucks line the street,
With delicious smells wafting through.
A feast for all the senses, oh so sweet,
A culinary journey, just for you.
The hot dogs sizzle on the grill,
The burgers ooze with melted cheese.
The aroma is enough to give one thrill,
And make the taste buds dance with ease.
The ice cream truck comes rolling by,
With its familiar jingle tune.
Children's faces light up with joy,
As they eagerly await their favorite scoop.
A juggler performs for a crowd,
His tricks and stunts impressing all.
A unicyclist rides tall and proud,
As the noon hour continues to enthrall.
The shops and cafes are bustling,
With people seeking a midday treat.
The aroma of coffee is tantalizing,
Drawing in tired, weary feet.
The street performers put on a show,
With music, magic, and dance.
Their talents on full display, for all to know,
In this vibrant noon hour trance.
The sun continues its journey,
Slowly making its way down.
The city starts to stir once more,
As the lunch hour comes to town.
With full bellies and happy hearts,
The workers return to their tasks.
Feeling refreshed, they begin anew,
Ready to conquer any ask.
As noon hour fades into the past,
And the city bustles once again.
A brief interlude, a moment to last,
In the midst of the day's chaotic strain.
But its memory lingers on,
As the hours slowly tick by.
For in that brief moment,
The city felt alive and alive.
So let us savor the noon hour,
A time to rest and recharge.
For in this moment, we have the power,
To find joy in the midst of life's barrage.
So as the clock strikes twelve,
Remember to take a break.
For in the midst of chaos, we can delve,
And find solace in the noon hour's embrace.
