All For Nothing

All for nothing, I gave my all
But in the end, it was my downfall
A journey filled with hope and pain
But now it all seems to be in vain
I started with a dream in my heart
A fire ignited, a spark to start
I chased it with all my might
Believing it would lead me to the light
I worked hard, day and night
Striving for success, with all my might
I pushed my limits, broke every barrier
For my dream, nothing was scarier
I climbed the mountains, swam the seas
Fought through storms, and braved disease
My passion burned, a raging fire
My determination, never to tire
But as I reached for the stars up high
I saw the truth, it made me cry
All the struggles, all the pain
All the sacrifices, all in vain
For what I thought was my dream
Was nothing but a shallow stream
An illusion, a mirage, a false hope
It left me hanging on a slippery slope
All the blood, sweat, and tears
All for nothing, after all these years
The taste of defeat, bitter and cold
My spirit crushed, my heart in a fold
I look back at the path I took
Every step, every turn, every nook
A journey filled with ups and downs
But now it all seems like a clown
The road ahead seems dark and endless
My dreams shattered, my heart defenseless
What was it all for, I ask in despair
All the hard work, did it even care?
But then I realize, it was not for nothing
For in the journey, I found my wings
I spread them wide, and took a flight
Leaving behind the darkness and strife
I may have lost, but I also gained
Wisdom, strength, and resilience remained
I learned to never give up on my dreams
For they may not be what they seem
All for nothing, but not really
For in the end, I found my destiny
A path that may be different, but mine
A journey that will forever shine
I may have failed, but I also succeeded
For in my heart, a dream still seeded
One that will never be taken away
For it's a part of me, in every way
So I hold my head up high
And spread my wings, ready to fly
For all for nothing, but not really
For in the end, it was all for me.
