Hospitality
It is a faithful thing you do,
In your efforts for your brothers;
As well as strangers with value,
Being receptive to others.
Testify your love to the church,
And sending them on their travel;
In your mind and heart, you must search,
For all your thoughts to unravel.
They go for the sake of the name,
Accepting nothing from Pagans;
In Christ Jesus they can proclaim,
As they go to other nations.
We ought to support those like these,
As fellow workers of the truth;
Remember God and His decrees,
Be humbled and never uncouth.
I have written unto the church,
About those who put themselves first;
God considers them as a smirch,
Having preeminence, they thirst.
I will cite what they are doing,
In talking a wicked nonsense;
Refused to welcome in joining,
Those who are taking an offense.
Copy not evil but what’s good,
Whoever does good is from God;
Doing evil is not what should,
Anyone who honors and laud.
A report of truth testifies,
Our testimony is true;
So, if anyone that denies,
It is evil that they pursue.
