Tired Of Losing
Tired Of Losing
It’s hard to get back up
When you keep getting knocked down
All the freaking damn time
Everywhere I turn
Seems like the world takes a turn
To swing a big screw you sandwich
Without warning right in my face
Pay me attention or
Pay this bill or better yet
Gimme what I want
Especially when I don’t have it.
I’m so tired of losing a game
I didn’t ask to play
I thought love was about caring
Instead of taking
And living was about being happy
Not suffering or getting hurt
My next step finds me in pain
Crying for relief when I fall
My own two hands are broken
And feet are trampled on
Whacked just for showing up.
Winning seems to go to the abusers
Cheating to gain a prize
Never sharing with the losers
I go away alone a lot
An orphan empty handed
A bowl with nothing inside
When you’re used to losing
You stop dreaming
I lost the biggest dream
She’s given up on me
Leaving me wet in tears.
