Cold dawn

Crisp tones within
Minus one and chilling
Hot food and sugarfree tea
All bone you sit opposite me
Talking about my double chin
But this fat storage is not enough
Your words cut deep within
the sweet and sour buffers of skin
And I say I'm working on it
But it is working on me
Growing bumps and holes
Like a mountainous road
Caves and treachery bind
And I try: the dead bug
Always waiting to feel weightless
And I forgive you distain
As if the pills are my fault
Wreaking caverns within each hemisphere
Stalactites fall into the abyss
Where my memories had long since freed
And I am not freed yet
Not free to forget
That we ever met
And you want your money back
Like what I lack
Is resellable tack
And you come with more and more
But I'm not the winning bet
Just see you through
And you see through me
As I see through you
Like ice
We don't always play nice
