Will You Visit

Will You Visit My Grave,…
  Michael Bransfield 1/19/25

In tender murmurs, a question emerges,
Will you seek me out when dusk begins to creep?
When my essence departs, like a leaf in the breeze,
And beneath the frosty earth, in quiet I sleep.

With the ground as my shroud, so heavy and vast,
The heart that once cherished you now hardens like stone,
As the memories of Calvary wrap around my soul,
In the calm of twilight, I fade all alone.

Yet, in dreams I will wander, where old tales reside,
And if you should visit, I hope you will feel,
The echoes of passion, the soft sighs of the past,
For even in stillness, my love remains real.
