Black Lives Matter
Black Lives Matter, hear our cry
From the depths of our souls, to the open sky
We stand united, we stand strong
Against the injustice, that's gone on for too long
Black Lives Matter, a movement of power
Through the streets we march, hour after hour
Protesting for justice, for equality
For the world to see, our humanity
Black Lives Matter, our voices rise
For our brothers and sisters, whose innocent blood cries
Their lives unjustly taken, their futures cut short
Leaving behind loved ones, with aching hearts
Black Lives Matter, we demand to be heard
For too long our cries, have been ignored
We're done with the silence, we're done with the pain
It's time for real change, for all to gain
Black Lives Matter, our skin is not a curse
We've been oppressed, but we'll no longer be coerced
To shrink in fear, to hide in shame
We'll stand tall, and rise to fame
Black Lives Matter, we're more than a stereotype
We're doctors, lawyers, artists, and writers
We're strong, we're resilient, we're filled with pride
Our diversity, is what makes us thrive
Black Lives Matter, we won't be defined
By the color of our skin, or the lies they design
We'll break through the barriers, we'll shatter the walls
For we are united, and we'll stand tall
Black Lives Matter, our ancestors paved the way
Their struggles and sacrifices, are not in vain
We carry their legacy, in our hearts and our souls
Their strength and courage, forever unfolds
Black Lives Matter, it's time to unite
To fight for justice, with all our might
No more division, no more hate
It's time to love, it's time to create
Black Lives Matter, we'll march on
With our fists in the air, and our hearts full of song
We'll stand in solidarity, against all odds
For we are one, and we'll overcome
Black Lives Matter, we'll rise above
Through the pain and the tears, we'll spread love
We'll break the chains, of systemic racism
For we are strong, and we'll fight for justice
Black Lives Matter, it's a movement of change
A call for equality, that can't be estranged
We'll keep pushing forward, until justice prevails
For our lives matter, and our voices will never fail.
