Mon liège fait plus d’un plongeon
Dans l’onde au lit de sable fin.
Ça mord à tout coup ; mais enfin
Je n’ai pas pris un seul goujon.

Et je tiens ma perche de jonc,
Patient comme un séraphin.
Mon liège fait plus d’un plongeon

Derrière moi, le vieux donjon ;
Devant, un horizon sans fin.
Un brochet dort comme un dauphin
A fleur d’eau, près d’un sauvageon.
