To see through my eyes
To see through my eyes you first have to know me.
Most little girls have a mommy and lots of love.
I had a grandma who half of the time hated me.
My grandpa had new bruises on his arm on the daily.
To see through my eyes is a profanity.
At 14 years old working a job to support my sisters baby.
A father who cussed and called me slut.
At 15 got a hold of the drugs and forgot who i was.
At 16 moved out on my own i thought i was grown.
To see through my eyes you got to be crazy.
By 17 i had a boyfriend i thought just maybe.
By 18 i thought it was cool diddn't have no rubber.
At 19 i had to get sober. I had a baby.
So perfect all her fingers and all ten toes.
3 days later im crying to go to a home that diddn't exist.
Chained up on the porch like a dog begging for food.
Please stop!
I cant take it the beatings and the bleeding.
By 20 i have another baby in my belly.
To see through my eyes you have to know how to fight.
I escaped i ran to a neighbor house and bang on the door.
I beg please help.
He takes me and we get my baby.
Now my ex is at the door,im hiding in my room the next thing i know im laying over the angel in the floor her head is bleeding.
He shot through the widow because i wouldn't answer the door.
I rush to the hospital shes okay for today.
I take her back home and kiss her on the head .
I know what to do so i lay her in her bed.
To see through my eyes is profanity.
I go to see what the f*ck.
He says bitch just shut up.
Then i hear the cracking of my jaw. My eyes swell up.
Next thing i know i have snapped.
I take a shoe and i hit him till i cant do it again.
I start to get that grin and i try to smash his chin.
To see through my eyes is pain.
