All to My Father

My father looks down at the sight of my face
In his eyes I was never held in a respectable place
I'll always love him I have to because hes my dad
He paid for my life until now but this is whats sad
I've tried to do it his way over and over but its never enough
I stopped being "dark" changed my clothes and made an attempt to be buff
He doesn't know the sweat i squeezed and the hours i slaved trying to fulfill his persona
Any of that sh** some how gave him ammunition to put down any dreams Ive filled my head of
I just wanna play music and spread a little love
To him every week I need to throw ten percent in the tub
I need to join a group that believes what he does that contradicts what they teach every week
They tell kids to accept one another but then put down anyone that isn't a home schooled geek
I know who I am I got tattoos on my hands for a reason
I'm set apart and cant get most jobs these inks keep me from them
How could I do that I'm stupid and a fool for marking my body like that?
Ha ha why should I take such advice from a society that 90 percent of inst happy with who they are they insist their lives are crap
This is to you dad you do what you want
I may be the home run hit hell i may be the bunt
I'm not gonna let u put me down just because you think your right
Your the epitome of close minded so I'm writing you this tonight
Either give me respect or don't at all
One or the other u have no influence on my rise or fall
Like I said I love you I have too but what makes me sad
You've already severed our relationship just like you and your dad
