Art

ART
What is art how can you judge?
Clear and sharp or in a medium that'll smudge,
Oils or a pen a brush or gun,
Prints often duplicated or anything done.

Talking of pictures its anyone's guess,
Those with depth or an apparent mess,
Contemporary or symbolic each has a place,
Depending on surroundings also time and space.

Framed there's a difference depending on both,
Sometimes using materials that others are loath,
Gold or silver plastic or any other thing,
It depends on structure and satisfaction it'll bring.

People and animals all have had a go,
Infants or adults they all labour so,
But in the end critics favour a glance,
Then in their wisdom give a painter a chance.

One mustn't be discouraged your work is fine,
Inspiration is automatic it's regal or divine,
Works or art offer a medium rare,

Whatever the product it's available to share.

I find it is a good way to record events of the day and bring history to life. The mental aspect is a balance against keeping fit, work and life in general. more…
