AS I listen to the Sound of The Falling Rain (Poem no.515)
As I listen to the sound of the falling rain,
On the thin roof of our house they tumble in Rhythm.
Just like a mighty songs from heaven,
Sung by the angels or cherubim.
As I watched and peep outside the window,
Each drop of it look like tiny arrows.
Finally I decided, might be better to go outside,
To run and play instead of sitting down inside.
I'd felt the rushing of the fallen rain,
That tumbled down on my skin;
Like tears drops from our Heavenly Father,
Showing compassion in behalf of my sins.
In a moment I heard the roaring thunder,
followed by the streak of lightning.
Mother called to come in...,
To be dry and warm from the cold rain....
Suddenly, a powerful voltage hit the banana tree,
Just few feet away from my brother and me.
Then, we realized mother is right,
We must come in before a second strike.
Through earnest prayers of my Mom and Dad,
God came to protect us from the terrible lightning strike.
I still remember the sound of an awful sight,
It leaves an unforgettable experience in my life.
Never take for granted those lightning flash,
It carries a deadly impact for human life.
When you hear a loud thunder
It means the lightning is ever so near.
Seek for cover, Stay inside
Don't play in the rain
When thundering and lightning.
It's my earnest advice.:)
