Blotchless

No one is perfect until you "fall in love."
Faults are overlooked in your sweet turtle dove.
Basically speaking, "love covers many sins."
In lustful desire is where it all begins.

When your eyes open and sight has been restored,
flaws and blemishes suddenly spring forward.
Small irritations, percolating to leach,
magnify issues by widening the breach.

Lasting relations are compatibly based:
strife and dissension are prudently erased.
Values and interests, fundamentally shared,
form the foundations where no goodness is spared.

The "perfect stranger" is completely unknown.
Facts remove blinders with exposure full-blown.
The unfamiliar appears impeccable:
no obvious blotch but still susceptible.
