Blue Days

Life's a race & we travel,
 Without seeing the paste
  The thorns of victory unravel,
 As we develop into a being of grace

 Angel wings could save us all,
 If we just took the time to listen
       Too often we burn bridges, then fall
 Off of one split-second decision

 The snow has touched the pavement,
 The days become brief
     Life's not a race, simply 'a-maze-meant',
 For us to turn over a leaf

 For I believe in renewal in soul,
 Watching the icy moon traispe into a new phase
     I'll remember these moments, in whole,
 As the cold grip of reality seizes these blue days
