Ernest, My Ernest

Many said this man knows only but break women's hearts
Some claim knows, but plays a game of infidelity
Others reassure that will only bring tears and agony
For in the art of loving, he feels totally strange.

To all the women he's been, none seem to keep for long
For this man, as they claimed, used or mistreated them
Neither a vixen can stay nor keep him a company
They all ended in a bittersweet revenge!

Oh, Ernest, what on Earth did you do for the human heart?
For some reason, blame you not alone for their miseries
And who am I to judge if wasn't there to see or feel?
If I was there, would you also let me stand in a range?

Time passes, life changes, and so is human in many ways
When things went bad before will turn out good today
So is Ernest that has brought anguish to women
Has long been gone, for he too, has changed.

If you ask me how a man named Ernest has mellowed
I will just tell you one thing, might not agree with me
That the one real Ernest has never been known
And Ernest, my Ernest, is one of a kind in a real sense!
