Fear of not knowing

As I walk into the dark and the light begins to fade.
Walking in the darkness my fear of what may be here is growing.
I walk deeper into the darkness where I see.
Glowing eyes watching me and my fear grows.
I continue into the darkness the eyes are following me.
I am fearful from what it might be that is following me.
Then I realize that death is approaching.
I fear not death I welcome it.
What I truly fear is the not knowing.
