Laughing Gas

Some seek exhilaration and indifference to pain
by spinning wild escapades
to dizzy the brain.
Some seek exhilaration and indifference to pain
by relating bawdy jokes
to humor the brain.
Some seek exhilaration and indifference to pain
by imbibing alcohol
to confound the brain.
Some seek exhilaration and indifference to pain
by frequenting amusements
to distract the brain.
Some seek exhilaration and indifference to pain
by adopting religion
to replace the brain.
Some seek exhilaration and indifference to pain
by inhaling laughing gas
to deaden the brain.
