Scars

Everyone has their own set of scars
From moments in their lives where things fell apart
When someone hurts your feelings, or laughs in your face
To the sad moments where everything just falls out of place

Some can be good, something to remember
A instance in your life, to show you can do better
A wound from a fight where you protected your emotions
For the girl that you loved, who had her heart broken

Or maybe for the moment where you tried to look better
Lost a lot of weight, to look more prominent altogether
For a man or a woman you wished to be with
Who made you feel wonderful, a person to believe in.

We all have our scars, from loving someone too deeply
From wanting to protect someone too much, showing our true feelings
You may have gotten that scar for someone that you love
So never take it for granted, theres nothing to be ashamed of.
