The Badge

You wore the badge with such pride.
As it was your lifes calling.
Giving help and saving lifes.
It was your purpose.
It was your meaning.

The badge did cost you many hours of duty.
Away from family and friends.
Almost cost you your life a time or two.
Yet with your guardian angles close by your side.

You still brought law and order to us all.
As you wore with such pride of your lifes calling.
It was as it still is.
The badge you still ware.............
