Vanilla
Do you dream
as I type these thoughts
into musical poetry - for you?
Are there hints
of chocolate
ice cream rainbows
filling your mind?
Neapolitan rushes
chasing your strawberries
across vanilla flowers,
where petals beg to be licked.
I spoon another
cold delight
as smiles wander
your sleeping form,
crazy taste buds
ring bells in the sky -
changing colour.
Shall I pass
a mouthful
to your lips
and watch
your face rise
in sleepy bliss, yes,
taste the moments.
Wings of fairy dreams
sprinkle dusty shines
as you move your body
to comfortable positions
on a mattress
of sinking wonder -
Steamy maybe?
Perhaps you caress
phallic trains;
throwing adventure
into air which shimmers
as you ride through
into another opening
where stars become smiles
in a cloudy blue day.
Within this time,
you shine fierce fire,
bringing to cheeks
the warmth held in heart.
Breath captures
all I flutter into life's beauty,
it roams the depths
of this curious longing.
Tears of joy delight
as they slip from eyes
pouring their love
across your ocean into mine.
Night and day are merged
in a fantasy performance,
inside a beautiful mind -
can you see
the words floating
‘I love you’
or do you hear them
in your mind as I finger keys
to work words into your essence?
Sleep - dream,
be alive in another dimension
as I tickle your fancies
for when you open eyes
and click back into virtual -
real communication.
Move those sheets
around your form,
wrap yourself up,
heat blood and dance
heartbeats of passion,
of everyday thoughts.
Can you hear
my ponderings
touching yours?
Sigh-pillows
resting under you.
I love - wait for you here,
sat inside poetry,
laughing and giggling,
some frowns too
from yesterday's madness
I put myself through.
