What I Would Give

For you I would give everything
My heart, my soul, my entire life,
The air that I breathe I would give
So as you could be that of my wife.
I would take the stars from the sky
Stop the April rain from falling down,
The Summer sun would shine forever
So as to take away your saddened frown.

The night-time curtain I would pull across
Bringing light from the evening darkness veil,
Each new dawn would make you shine
As to the distant horizon we would sail.
Across tranquil oceans and seas we would go
Making love each and every night,
Your beauty would blind that of my eyes
And take my soul on an ever lasting flight.
