My Pillow Weeps

My Pillow Weeps

My eyes they are glassy , a new dawn that finds
The night is reflecting , harassment in minds

The dreams that I have , a personal need
They often do haunt , my thoughts as they feed …

A stranger beginning , to a long lonely night
They are full of sorrows , and feelings not right

A dark grieving tale , of deep shallow moods
That open the doors , to ideas that are crude

The art of the anguish , the picture I paint
I am the da Vinci , of nightmares sad feint

I deal with my sadness , in such different ways
While changing the rules , in the games that I play

It seems that the sorrow , relates the process
And thinking the thoughts , that my life is a mess

My temporal cortex , needs a slap in the face !
While bizarre coping mechanisms , continue to race

The  streams of confusion , that keep flooding my shore
The waves that are raging , perceptions implore

This pillow I'm leaning , is part of the fray
A monstrous kleenex , I must throw away
