Hydrangea

Stacy Dortch 1969 (Millen)

When I first met you,
I could barely say your name
But you spoke your oracles
And from heavenly vessel
I heard the message you proclaimed
Like a father who gives
And consul to his daughter
Who he has named
You declared with such innocence
Made my heart repentant
As I beheld your petals
I could hear your melody
Like a symphony of unity
Together your graces
Bring a rainbow of love and beauty
Hortensia some say
Hydrangea they parlez
But I am so thankful for pure
Yet lavish vanity
Like a rebirth and renewal
As I partake of your depth
I love to walk in the garden
Receiving your freshness with each step
Like nutrients and water to the body
You restore my troubled minds
With peace and tranquility
