Mage

A year ago, the sun went down,

And life was blanketed in night,

One without the moon and her crown

Of every bright, sparkly starlight.

The people felt their way around,

Trying so hard with all of their might.

No one knew if they would make it.

He searched in the darkness with them.

He kept searching with every wit,

Though he found nothing. No omen.

Not so if everything was lit.

He was doing the best he can.

To make a light that was controlled

Without a single need to hold,

Even in water or in cold.

With just a thought and with his hands,

He procured a light that will glow,

Until tonight on all the lands.

He passed it on and they still grow,

Like illuminated wands,

From person to person, they go.
