BEREFT OF HOPE (II) 14/05/2021)
Waking nightmares walk
Through a town bereft of hope,
Humans hide indoors.
CATACOMBS (14/05/2021)
Dripping catacombs
Full of mouldering corpses,
Nothing left alive.
HUNTING THROUGH THE SWAMP
Carapaced monsters
With Gator-like Snapping jaws,
Hunting through the swamp.
THE HYDRA
The hydra hisses,
Lurking outside your bedroom door,
Only sleep saves you.
I AM CALLED DEATH
Terror walks by me
Nothing living dares to move,
For I am called death.
I AM NYARLATHOTEP!
A mushroom-cloud rises:
“I am Nyarlathotep!”
Says its voice of doom.

Ice-breathing demons
Calling down a frozen Hell;
Freeze you to your soul.
ICY COLD SCIMITARS
Ice cold scimitars
Like the claws of death itself,
Caressing your spine.

Living within snow and sleet,
Chill you to the bone.

Icy hands of fear
Playing upon your spine like,
The fingers of death.

An icy shrieking
An inhuman snarling heard
From an unlit cave.
IDENTITY CRISIS
Troubled by the visage
Of a dark, unsmiling twin,
Evil dwells within.
THE ILLUSION
Illusion of life
Winging through the dark gardens,
Hunting out its prey.

Shadowy images
Flitting just beyond sight,
Hoping soon to pounce.
IMMENSE APE-LIKE FIENDS
Immense ape-like fiends
With jointed arms which hang down,
Almost to the knees.
IMMENSE, HIDEOUS MONSTERS
Immense monsters
Too hideous to believe,
Lurching toward their prey.
IMMENSE RUGOSE CONES
Immense rugose cones
(Oozing foul-smelling slime),
From another dimension.
IMMORTAL FEARS
Immortal fears pass
Through the lonely night streets,
When innocents sleep.
THE IMMORTAL NIGHT
The immortal night
Spreading fear with passing shades,
Terror chills your heart.
THE IMMORTAL SHADOWS
Immortal shadows
Spreading fear by passing near:
Warning signs of death.
IMPOSING STONE MANSIONS
Imposing stone mansions
House all kinds of horrors,
Skulking in the dark.

Tall, dark strangers lurch
Toward intended victims,
Evil all around you.
LET SLEEPING DRAGONS LIE
Ancient forts where
Sleeping dragons lie in wait,
For unwary callers.
THE LONELY HUNTER (I)
Mournful cry of a
Wolf in the night: Werewolf?
Or just lonely hunter?
LOST SOULS IN TORMENT (II)
Lost souls in torment
Writhing round in anguish;
Crying out in terror.
A LOW WHISTLING IN THE NIGHT
Low whistling at night
Warning of mounting danger;
Evil drawing near.
A LULLABY IN MADNESS
A morbid lullaby
An evil dirge of pain;
Agony of life.
MERCILESS SPIRITS LOOMING
Merciless spirits
Hover near open graves,
Looming out at you.
THE MESSENGERS OF DEATH
Deep in the shadows
Stand the messengers of hell;
Messengers of death.
THE MESSENGERS OF HELL
At night you dream of
Long-forgotten beings:
The messengers of hell.
MIDNIGHT BREEZES
Midnight breezes blowing
Spreading an evil scent far,
Death is on the wind.
MIDNIGHT CALLERS
Midnight callers creep
In through open windows; slink
Up to their victims.
MIDNIGHT IN HELL (II)
Lost souls tormented
By fiends with razor-sharp fangs,
And lethal black talons.
MIDNIGHT MOON
Midnight moon spreading
Revelations of evil,
Danger signs at night.
MOANING CRIES
Moaning cries echo
Rattling chains are heard within,
A crumbling old house.
THE MONSTER WITHIN
The monster within
The hearts of men and women,
Masterminds our doom.
MOOD AS DARK AS THUNDER
Mood dark and evil
Burning up with hatred, as
You plot sweet revenge.
A MOONLIT ALTAR (I)
Loathsome monsters crawl
Toward a moonlit altar,
Where fallen priests chant.

A human monster
A moon-worshipping savage
Killing for his God.
MORBID DARKNESS
A morbid darkness
Descends on you; drowning you in
Seas of molten fear.
MORBID DREAMS
Morbid dreams torment
You’re trapped deep in your own fears,
With nowhere to hide.
MORBID FANTASIES
Morbid fantasies
That death is your lover,
Terror your only friend.

Women-shaped demons
Leading a man to a mount,
Killing him on high.
MY NAME IS DEATH
I am eternal
I come to visit you all,
For my name is death.

Mysteries of the night
Hold no terror for me,
People call me death.

Impossible to tell
The nature of the threat
Quickly approaching.

Nightmarish countries
In which nothing living is,
Only the dead reside.

Once-were children seek
Barren women who need them,
Hoping soon to kill'

Evil in his deeds
And in his every thought,
Evil is his way.

Unsmiling children
Hunting barren women to,
Lure them to their deaths

Hopeless wailing sounds
Souls forever in torment,
Evil deeds now paid for.
