Hi,

This is an emotional poem written in a soft and a light-hearted manner. I can immediately feel the writer's sorrow and message. I empathize with him.

I just realized the "k" was missed in the word "knew". I need to correct that here :).

I love how succinct this poem is. In a few words, your poem shares a million feelings of warmth, comfort, encouragement, optimism...

I also read your bio. It caught my eye that it describes you as being able to see both sides of the coin. "Born into a world of contradictions and complexities, he found solace and expression in poetry from an early age."

I believe when you can't see the light without the dark, just like you don't get a silly green traffic light without having to wait through a red one first. You are very soul filled and your work shows it. Thank you for sharing with the community. more »

Thank you. I wrote this when I was in the 10th grade (15/16 years old) for my creative writing class. No one in specific in mind, just new that one day, Prince Charming would be there; lol. That was many moons ago. I've kept this one to myself all of these years for some reason. I appreciate your support. Now I can't wait to read yours :). more »

I love the umph in this poem! It's almost like I could move up and down like waves coming in and out with the flow of the words. Excellent. Fun and quirky, spuncky, as well as mystical. Wow. Your description of the poem regarding the sauce is powerful along side the poem. That one line in the description sums up the whole poem. Awesome. Hi and Happy New Year! I love this community. I've been a VIP member since before 2000. I'm so proud to see after 25 years + poetry.com is still going strong. This is an amazing outlet for expressing feelings/observations and such. Being able to use words to communicate is absolutely a specialized skill that is learned and needs development as we grow up. Not everyone is taught to express their feelings. So, when we can put emotions or situations observed or noticed into tangible words - it is a therapy indeed. more »
