Freedom is Waiting in Love

At the rising of the sun
I will hold your hand in mine.
Your soul will be carried through
the pleasantries of time.

If you understand the beauty
sweet birds do sing,
you will smile at the happiness
to you, I will bring.

As we hold our hands together
and look to the sky
clouds will talk,
the sun will smile,
the rain will stop.

An open field of nature -
where you want to be.
I will make for you.
All the dreams too distant
and all the pain to near...
Look in my eyes,
hold your heart,
there is nothing to fear.

And then at the setting of the sun,
I will hold your hand in mine.
Your soul has carried
through the pleasantries of time.

Nicole Danielle Bowen

For as early as I can remember, my goal was to fulfill my inner child's spiritual needs. I like to assist in atoning the mind, body, and soul to make peace and find true self-love. I have been a member of the overall Poetry.com community for over 25 years and am so proud that it is going strong. I love to help others find peace within and eliminate the negative energy they battle with. I see who people are on the inside. I can add a gentle and personal compliment about the signs two people show together. I can also help guide the mind and soul through decision-making/problem-solving and heart-felt processes. I like to cover the whole, well-rounded aspect of life; while focusing on any particular area of concern as well. I am here for what is needed in best interest and does no harm. I have a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies with a minor in Psychology. I have a Master's degree in Public/Global Health. I am a Certified Crisis Counselor with a Dr. of Divinity & Dr. of Metaphysics as an Ordained Minister. I am here to help and assist in whatever serves the best interests and does no harm. I am open to all religions and denominations. I do not judge anyone or any circumstance. I believe that we love who we love. I observe and I speak offer constructive feedback as appropriate. I ask thought-provoking questions, if applicable. I respect and value decisions and would like to honor traditions and beliefs. I have been to over 17 countries. I am from the US. I like to travel, as well as, remain in my community. Connecting with people and connecting people warms my heart! more…

Thank you. I wrote this when I was in the 10th grade (15/16 years old) for my creative writing class. No one in specific in mind, just new that one day, Prince Charming would be there; lol. That was many moons ago. I've kept this one to myself all of these years for some reason. I appreciate your support. Now I can't wait to read yours :).

I just realized the "k" was missed in the word "knew". I need to correct that here :).
