The War Inside My Head

If I declared a war inside my head,
Would you fight for me?
Help push against forces from my past,
That refuse to set me free.
Could you lock my hidden parts within,
And throw away the key?
Never questioning the mistakes I have made,
Even those we've yet to see?
Be willing to sacrifice all at will,
Without a single plea.
Accept the fact that not all we fight,
Ends in victory.
So for now I live inside my thoughts,
A battle fought quietly.
