The loss

Trisha nayak 2004 (Odisha)

Death leaves a heartache,
No one can heal and

Love leaves  a memory,
That no one can steal.

I never truly learnt , what
The word "i miss you "were ,

Untill I reached for your hand,
And it wasn't there .

Now i know why you always
Told me to be strong.

You knew that one day ,
I would need the strength .

To bear your loss.

About this poem

This is a poem written for the most wonderful person in my life . Her death during COVID second wave have made my life hope less and that pain is killing me inside . I had accepted the pain but still my eyes are wet . I can't cry because of my other loved ones. So they reflect in my writings . One among them is this.
