The Love We Had

He’s not here physically
But he’s alive im my thoughts
Present in sip of my tea
In voice of the rain

A beautiful memory of him
Makes me laugh and
Takes away all the pain

I loved his lame jokes
His eyes, his smile which
Was as sweet as sugarcane

I don’t get to touch him
now, But i can feel him
and his love running through my vein

He’s with me forever
In my thoughts and till eternity
Our love will always remain

About this poem

I lost a friend of mine because of cancer last year. He was my friend from the very day I was born as we were neighbors too. This poem is about how he’s still here with me and will always be with me
