I can’t believe you’re gone
I love you so much.
But perhaps my love
Just wasn’t enough.
You just moved on
And walked away.
It took everything in me
Not to beg you to stay.
Though things change
I can’t forget the past.
I prayed so many nights
That our love would somehow last.
But it didn’t matter,
It changed nothing at all.
I can’t erase these memories,

Drifting apart was hard,
I picked up the pieces.
Thought you’d come back
Hoped you’d regret your leaving.
Time lurches forward,

Time moves on
But I know I never will.
I can’t beg you to come back,
