On those days.

Those were the days
when people would sit together,
under shadowy trees in summer afternoons
and would listen merry tales from elders.

Neither they had hot talks
nor they had arguments.
They would listen the tales
and lost them in dreams.

The shadow of the tree
kept them cool and calm.
The swaying boughs released air
and smeared balm on each browny lair.

But now people are sitting together.
They are sweating,arguing,
sitting inside air conditioned rooms
and hardly they have sweet dreams.

I don't want civilisation
which is dearth of dreams.
I want the days
when people would listen merry tales.
