This poem, suggesting that ‘no man is an island entire unto itself,’ is written in the spirit of 1 Thessalonians 5:11, inviting us to be spiritually supportive and loving toward our fellow human beings.

Each of us during our lifetime is like a circle, at times being at the periphery, at other times intersecting others as a radius; and still at other times serving as the entire circumference itself, encompassing others. The lifespan impact of our existence is indeed that of an indomitable human permanence.

Talia, This is a follow up. I’ve since observed with great delight and admiration the breath and scope of your poetry with its sweeping multilingual appeal as it embraces and harmonizes its lyrical message in concert with the cornucopia offerings of nature. Such a delightful pleasure!

I enjoy tremendously your ‘Barriers’ poem and particularly the opening line of the third stanza which reads “The barrier of thought can affect our well-being.” How true indeed. This assertion of yours is in accordance with the overall sentiments of the poem, “The Thought That Lingers: Part Twelve” which I have just shortly posted on line. This series of poems of mine concerning “The Thought That Lingers” consists altogether of twelve parts. I hope you get a chance to read Part 12, and all the other parts as well.
Once more let me express my joy at the liberating sentiments expressed in your poem.
Our customs, habits and cultural differences make it so difficult, if not impossible, to live without barriers.

The classical myths intersect every aspect of human behavior. They provide invaluable insights about both our frailties and our achievements overcoming obstacles. They are the stuff by which we live, breathe, and have our being.

Powerfully metrical in its romantic message. And linguistically clever. Bravo!

Very thoughtful how we employ our frontal lobe of cortical consciousness and, even more revealingly so, our unconscious hindbrain dream state, to express and share our subjective thoughts with other thoughtful minds to elevate us all to even higher states of endorphin consciousness. Thank you. P.S: See my poem, “The Substrate of Subjective Human Consciousness.”
