A CONVERSATION WITH MYSELF
mad hippie poet 1974 (new jersey)
I look in the mirror every morning like the day before but today was not the typical day I started talking and carefully listening to every word that I had to say. I told myself damn I am so proud of you and I can not believe how you did not lose your shit after all you have been through and you should write a love poem to yourself for never backing down and running away. how the hell did you find the strength to continue to keep singing in the rain did you find wisdom in the pain
I do not want to be broken and I do not want that feeling of as if I am drowning. there had to be some kind of intergalactic call or secret mission to save a soul like mine all that I am is skin, bones, and stardust with a new lease on life kinda like a newfound lust
