Analysis of When I Write

When I write, I write with a vision full of Confliction. Stunted by the fact I've been living the way I've been living,
But listen i put love and pain in my vision
Cause that's all I saw before my vision .

Before it was nothing but confliction, eviction, and addiction
My vision isn’t just any vision, its a vision that’ll have me in commission,
That’ll lead me to an addiction, but not just any addiction an addiction to ambition
Even with all the confliction that had me in a position
Where my vision wasn’t an exception.

When I write I don’t just write I write with expression and have a personal connection with each word that’s being used to have a connection with the person who is trying to release their personal expectations.

When I write I don't see the word itself but its definition And how strong the connection is to my past conflictions.

My play on English words doesn’t meet with the standard expectation, but with that being said My Vision has a lot of complications because it has me to often times looking ahead instead of looking where to step.

But my Vision isn’t just any vision its a vision
that’ll release me from my past connections
that have me under a lot of depression
this vision is what will save me from my depression this vision doesn’t only involve me but my fellow brethren since we all fell for the same Idealistic prison.

This vision is what will free us from being held captive from people who’ve been moving on us with such precision. It’s not just my vision anymore but the vision of the new generation of children

About this poem

This poem comes from my heart and it really spoke to me when I wrote and read it over and over it just showed me more of myself then I could myself. It tells a story that I've came a long way from where i was before and well I've felt trapped at some point and well I grew up from the person I once was

I've been through a lot in my life even though I'm still young i grew up at such a young age I had no other option. I grew up mostly poor but we did what we could. Writing has been my escape from the world for the past 2 years and its helped me an unbelievable amount helping me get through my fathers death and loss of several friends due to gun violence and drugs writing has helped me from myself at some point as well. without writing I'd possible be laying on asphalt with them and I thank myself everyday for changing because if i never changed i would never got to meet my 3 nieces that make me smile everyday and making my father proud. more…
