Analysis of The Dating Dilemma

Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)

The gate is narrow; the path is straight
So be very careful when you start to date
Dating can lead to all kinds of things
Sometimes it leaves brides without wedding rings

Sometimes it can hurt you; sometimes it can kill
Sometimes they’ll just stalk you; now isn’t that a thrill
When your parents disown you and call you a swine
You’re probably not dating at just the right time
Your predictions might be off by a year or two
And that kind of dating can get you killed too

Try not to get caught in this dating dilemma
The LORD knows your heart and He has something better
There’s probably a husband or wife for your mate
But how will you know them if you only date?
