Analysis of Is it love or addiction

Amelia brooker 2005 (Queensland)

Here I stand before you,
a victim of your love.
Intoxicated by your sweet aroma,
I could never get enough.
I drown in a pool of autumn leaves,
staring into your eyes,
not wanting to look away, no,
I don’t care if I die.
it’s too late to go back,
I’m addicted like you’re heroin
my own personal brand,
so accept my heart,
and please take my hand.
